NEGLECTED TROPICAL DISEASES & COMORBIDITY - THE PROMISING PROSPECT OF REGIONAL INTEGRATION IN SEAR REGIONS : A SOCIO-ECOLOGICAL STUDY
Abstract
Transnational creative efforts of regional integration is primarily contingent upon (a) societal interdependence, (b) attitudinal integration, and (c) inter-governmental cooperation related to perceived threats predominantly from (i) political, (ii) social, (iii) economic, and (iv) technological perspectives. The underpinnings of regional integration of common geographical boundaries under the aegis of sustainable development goals are to develop inclusionary governance ecosystem contributory to enhance the core values of humanity, social solidarity, and harmony across the regional landscape, howbeit the variances in the territorial resources, polities and social conditions, and socio-cultural dynamics. This new approach of neo-liberal social policy warrants (a) mobilization, processing common social challenges of the region, (b) networking amongst inter-governmental and non-governmental agencies, homogenization of common regional challenges as an agenda of regional sustainable development goals, and (c) strong integrated political commitment in prioritizing such regional challenges beyond the purview of geo-political landscape. Progressive environmental pollution and fast-moving lifestyles factors exacerbated the chronic inflammatory-autoimmune conditions, especially in South-East Asian Regions. The object of the present study is to assess and explore those common comorbidity factors in common socioecological framework of South-East Asian regions, common mitigating measures in the policy implementations. The objective of the study thus, to critically analyse and compare the state policies and primary public healthcare related documents of each country of the SEAR, meta-analysis to identify plausible preferences in advancing space to policy-makers to contrive regional integration for sustainable development goals, environmental resilience, and health-equity. To achieve research objective the mixed methodology with principle of social informatics has been followed. The outcome of the study would be helpful to the policy-makers to move forward for regional integration and social solidarity.

Education Completed post-graduation in Law with CGPA 8.2/10.0 in 2019 (KIIT – Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha) after graduating in 2016 with 69% (University of Calcutta, Kolkata, W.B.)
