Title	The Internationalization of China’s Corporate Social Responsibility Governance under the Framework of International Investment Agreement: From the Perspective of China’s Foreign-Related Rule of Law
Abstract	Driven by the reform of the international investment regime and the socialization of international investment law, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is increasingly becoming the vane of international investment rule-making. However, very few of China's existing international investment agreements (IIAs) refer to CSR, which leaves the contracting practice of promoting socially responsible investment lagging behind the overall trend in this field. Under the background of developing foreign-related legal system and accelerating the construction of foreign-related rule of law, how to properly introduce CSR, which is now an investment policy objective, into future IIAs, and how to sinicize the "internationally recognized" CSR rules, are the challenges facing China’s domestic legal construction at present. Meanwhile, there is also an urgent need for China to speed up the summary of the conducive experience accumulated by its "going out" enterprises in fulfilling social responsibility, and systematically comb, improve, and export corresponding measures of encouragement, guidance, and support. In other words, China faces the challenges of how to appropriately introduce this investment policy objective into its future IIAs and to sinicize the "internationally recognized" CSR norms, on the one hand. And on the other hand, a wealth of practical experience accumulated by China's "going-out" enterprises in fulfilling social responsibility also provides a latecomer advantage for building a paradigm of CSR governance with Chinese characteristics and for systematically exporting corresponding norms. In short, the "bringing-in" of the internationally recognized CSR norms and the "going-out" of Chinese enterprises’ responsible practice and corresponding institutional measures can be realized by strengthening the interaction of international law and domestic law, and also by reinforcing policy incentives and legal regulation.

Her research area is international investment law, especially focusing on investor-state dispute settlement, the conduct of arbitrators, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, and investment facilitation. She visited the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London as a Visiting PhD Student under the auspices of the China Scholarship Council (2021-2022). She received her LLM (Transnational Legal Practice) from St. John’s University (2016-2017) and LLB (International Economic Law) from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (2013-2017). She worked briefly in the Office of Legislative Affairs of Kunming Municipal Government (2018-2019), and once interned at Yunnan High People’s Court (2015-2016). She published Chinese papers at International Economic Review, International Business Research, Journal of International Economic Law, and Commercial Arbitration & Mediation, and English papers at Transnational Dispute Management Journal, and Journal of WTO and China.
