Title
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LAW ON SOCIAL HOUSING IN VIETNAM
Abstract
The paper analyzes and evaluates the current status of the legal system on social housing in Vietnam, focusing on the regulations for construction of social housing in Land Law 2024; regulations on management and use of social housing in the Housing Law 2023; regulations on investment and business in the social housing segment of the Real Estate Business Law 2023 to make comments and identify reasonable and appropriate points; bottlenecks, conflicts, lack of unity, synchronization or lack of feasibility that hinder the development of the social housing segment in Vietnam currently. On that basis, the paper proposes solutions to contribute to improving the law on social housing and raising the effectiveness of implementation, promoting the development of social housing in order for it to operate smoothly and transparently.
Biography
Ass.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuyen is currently Vice Chairman of the University Council and Dean of the Faculty of Economic Law, Hanoi Law University. He is a senior expert in the field of legal consultancy on land, real estate and economics in Vietnam; is the author of many articles published in specialized journals, and is also the editor and author of many monographs in Vietnam.
