July 2020 CBFL is pleased to share that a special feature edited by Lin Lin and Dora has just been published in the Singapore Journal of Legal Studies.
 
This issue, which arose from the conference on “Alternative Investments in the Tech Era”, convened by Lin Lin under the auspices of the Centre for Banking & Finance Law (CBFL), has lined up a series of articles that shed light on the changes and risks brought about by technology, and put forth suggestions regarding appropriate responses. This issue brings together leading academics from the EU, Australia, Singapore, mainland China, and Hong Kong for an in-depth discussion on cutting-edge topics. Contributions include the lead article on the changing concept of money by Emilios Avgouleas and Sir William Blair, and other articles on data trusts, TechRisk, InsurTech, robo-advisers, blockchain and equity crowdfunding. May 2020 CBFL is pleased to share the news that the special issue of the European Business Organization Law Review, edited by our EXCO member, Asst Professor Lin Lin and Professor Hans Tjio, has been published by Springer. The volume was a result from the conference on Alternative Investments in the Tech Era (27 & 28 September 2019) by CBFL which saw leading academics in EU, Australia, Singapore, mainland China, Hong Kong come together for an in-depth discussion of issues raised by technologies. The volume includes articles by our other EXCO member, Associate Professor Christian Hofmann and former CBFL researcher, Hu Ying. Further details on the book are available here.
 
CBFL congratulates Dr Lucia Satragno on the completion of her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in international monetary and financial law (magna cum laude), from the University of Bern (May 2020).
