Henning JESSEN Dr Henning Jessen studied law in Kiel, and Copenhagen, between 1996 and 2002. He wrote his doctoral thesis in international economic law (2005) and obtained a Master of Laws degree (LLM in Admiralty and Maritime Law) from Tulane University, in 2004. Between 2006 and 2008, he worked as a trade lawyer for the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Berlin. Between 2008 and 2012, Henning Jessen taught Transport Law and Maritime Law at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany. In October 2012, he joined the University of Hamburg as an Associate Professor for Maritime Law, with a particular emphasis on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). Research Interests
