Maureen POH Maureen specialises in advising clients in the shipping, energy and international trade sectors on both contentious and non-contentious matters. Maureen's shipping practice covers various aspects of maritime trade, and across different types of vessels, from bulk carriers to tankers to FSRUs. She advises on charterparty disputes, carriage of goods by sea and cargo claims, and ship sale and purchase disputes. She also acts for buyers in ship building, conversion and repair contracts. Her practice comprises dispute resolution, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts for clients in these areas. Maureen's energy practice includes advising major contractors to energy companies on disputes relating to the construction and employment of offshore assets. She also advises on issues arising from the trading and transportation of a wide spectrum of commodities, including documentary credits matters. Maureen also has considerable experience of arbitration in Singapore (SCMA, SIAC and ad hoc), London (LMAA, ICC, UNCITRAL and ad hoc) and Indonesia (BANI), and English and Singapore court litigation. She is a regular speaker on topics related to maritime law, international dispute resolution, and trade and commodities.
