Paolo ZAMPELLA Paolo Zampella is a Ph.D. candidate at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Italy, undertaking a doctoral program specializing in navigation law. As this subject includes both maritime and air law in the Italian legal system, his research focuses on both branches of law, specifically on the legal issues of unmanned technology applied to aircraft and ships. He received his law degree magna cum laude in 2014 from the University of Cagliari. During this time, he spent a year as exchange student at the Université Paris-Est Créteil, three months in Dublin (where he undertook an internship at the Italian Embassy), and three months undertaking research for his master's thesis at Tulane University. During the course of his doctoral program, within the framework of an EU-funded project, he has spent six months at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, as well as six months at the University of Tehran. He was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2017. Research Interests
