Mr Kiu Yan Yu Research Assistant 15 October 2019 – 14 October 2020 Yan Yu joined EWBCLB after having been called to the Singapore Bar recently, with his training being completed at the shipping litigation practice of a local law firm. Before that, he graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) in 2018. As an undergraduate, Yan Yu was regularly recognised for his academic performance. He had also actively engaged in various moots, with subject matters that ranged from public international space law to Australian equity. Yan Yu is currently working on a problem relating to assertion of privilege by companies against their shareholders, which is inspired by an issue he encountered during training. Research areas Yan Yu’s research interest is in the field of company law and insolvency. |
