Hee-Kyoung Spiritas Cho Hee-Kyoung Spiritas Cho is a scholar of intellectual property, international trade and international relations. Her current research interests include governmentality and innovation, regulation of biosimilars, and judicial independence. She has presented on these and other topics at conferences around the world, including in China and Iran. In addition to her teaching duties, she was the director of Hongik University's international relations centre. In 2015, she served as an examiner for the Korean national bar examination. Prior to becoming an academic, Professor Cho worked for more than a decade first as an IP litigator in private practice and later as an inhouse counsel and government affairs specialist for an international news agency. She has significant experience lobbying the EU Commission and the Parliament and acknowledges responsibility for certain amendments to a number of EU directives. |
