Interim Measures in International Arbitration

Course Description:
This course will focus in detail on provisional and interim measures in the context of international commercial arbitration, including emergency arbitrator (EA) proceedings. The course will address topics such as the nature and scope of provisional and interim relief, the authority of arbitral tribunals (and limitations thereon) to order such relief, the concurrent jurisdiction of courts, choice of law issues and the standards for granting interim measures, issues arising with respect to various categories of provisional relief, and judicial enforcement of interim measures ordered by arbitral tribunals.
