The Human Rights of Women

Course Description:
The course will cover the theoretical foundations of the subject by including an in-depth examination of general legal theory concerning human rights and the different strands of feminist legal theory which inform the interpretation of the human rights of women. The course will also include an analysis of how these different theoretical positions inform a number of key issues e.g., cultural relativism, intersectionality, post colonialism.
