If your firm/company/organisation would like an NUS Law student intern,  please fill up the attached ‘Request Form’ and email back to our Career Advisor, Mrs. Angeline Sim at lawcareers@nus.edu.sg

Dates
» The upcoming vacation periods for AY 2014/ 2015 are:
Sun 11 May 2014 – Sun 03 Aug 2014 (12 weeks)
Sun 07 Dec 2014 – Sun 11 Jan 2015 (5 weeks)
Procedures
» Information on internship opportunities at your firm/company/organisation will be made available on our website and students will apply directly to your firm/company/organisation.
Requirements
» Information required from the Firm/Company/Organisation:
1 Name of Firm/Company/Organisation
2 Firm/Company/Organisation profile (including relevant website address)
3 Criteria (if your Firm/Company/Organisation wants interns to be from particular years of study or have specific knowledge of particular areas of law, for example, all applicants must have done IP law, banking law etc.)
4 Expectations (what the intern is expected to do during the internship)
5 Number of internship places available
6 Period of internship (duration of the internship, for example, 3 weeks or 3 months)
7 Amount of allowance (optional, see below)
8 Contact person (include name, designation, telephone number, email address & address)
Allowance
» Firms/Companies/Organisations usually provide an allowance ranging from about S$600 to S$1,000 per month. Payment of and the amount of the allowance is entirely at your Firm’s/Company’s/Organisation's discretion.
 

Please note:

  In the 1st and 2nd year of study, there is a compulsory curriculum for all Undergraduates. In their 3rd and 4th years of study, students are able to choose from a wide variety of electives
  You may wish to open applications to all students or only those in their upper years and/or students from the general or specialised LLM programmes
No CPF is payable. More information is available at the CPF website
International students who have a valid student visa may take up internships without any further paperwork needed by your company if it is based in Singapore.
