Jason R. BONIN Jason R Bonin is currently Research Fellow at the Centre for Asian Legal Studies (CALS) at the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law (NUS Law). He first joined the Centre in August 2013 after completing his PhD at NUS Law. Prior to entering graduate studies, Jason spent a short period of time with a leading law firm in Berlin, Germany. Jason is currently serving a two year appointment with CALS. During this time, he served as principal investigator on a project entitled 'Cultural Heritage Law and the Built Environment: Preserving Outstanding Universal Value in Asia's Historic Cities', which sought to investigate the regulatory changes impacting this important heritage category in a particularly dynamic world region. He also remains active in the field of air transport regulation as an invited speaker at international conferences and as part of the steering committee for the inaugural Trans-Pacific Aviation Law and Policy conference held at Vancouver, Canada, from 8-9 October 2015. In addition to research, Jason concurrently serves as Deputy Editor of the Asian Journal of Comparative Law (AsJCL), an initiative of the Asian Law Institute (ASLI). A position he has held since October 2013, he oversaw the Journal's transition to Cambridge University Press and from an annual to a biannual publication. Jason holds a keen interest in Indonesia and Indonesian law. He is currently preparing projects focusing on corporate governance and the creative economy.
