KarLuis QUEK KarLuis graduated with an LL.B. from NUS Law in 2016, where he received the Montrose Memorial Prize in Jurisprudence and was placed on the Dean's List in his final year. His undergraduate thesis, 'The Anatomy of Court Orders: A Philosophical Analysis', formed the basis of a joint article (co-authored with Professor James Penner) forthcoming in the Singapore Academy of Law Journal. Doctrinally, he takes a keen interest in constitutional, administrative, and criminal law, especially from a comparative perspective. On the other hand, issues in ethics, meta-ethics, political philosophy, and legal philosophy form the core of his philosophical focus. He will be working as a Research Assistant at CALS on a variety of comparative and Asian law projects and will be serving as an Assistant Editor for the Asian Journal of Comparative Law (AsJCL). In 2018, he will serve his training contract with WongPartnership LLP prior to qualifying at the Singapore Bar.
