Samantha is a Research Assistant with CALS and an Assistant Editor of the Asian Journal of Comparative Law (AsJCL). After she received her LL.B. from NUS in 2014 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2015, she practiced intellectual property and corporate law with a boutique firm specializing in intellectual property. Since joining CALS in 2016, she has worked on the AsJCL Special Issue on Constitutional Law in Vietnam, and the Independent Directors in Asia book edited by CALS Director Associate Professor Dan W. Puchniak forthcoming with Cambridge University Press.

Inspired by her experience founding and managing a social enterprise during law school, her research interest is in the corporate law of Singapore and Commonwealth jurisdictions, with special focus on close corporations, shareholder remedies, and law reform. Samantha has published in the Journal of Corporate Law Studies and has two pieces forthcoming in the Lloyds' Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly. Samantha will be undertaking a research project comparing the corporate law in Singapore and Hong Kong during her time at CALS.
