PhD Experience in NUS
The University provided me with great support during my PhD candidature. Funding in the form of a President's Graduate Fellowship and grants for participation in international conferences and two overseas summer research programmes was generous. The Faculty's vibrant scholarly community provided a conducive environment for advanced research and discussion.
Professor Chesterman's advice, encouragement and support were indispensable to bring my PhD project to fruition. I was fortunate to have interacted with fellow doctoral candidates and faculty members, from whose company I greatly benefited. Staff of both the Faculty and the Library were very kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed and am very grateful for the experience and opportunities.
