PhD Experience in NUS
My PhD experience in NUS was interesting and afforded me many opportunities such as attending overseas conferences; honing my research skills; teaching and working as part of an editorial team for a law journal. My supervisor has extensive knowledge and was very supportive and readily available for consultation and advice. This often made it easier to continue with the research when I lacked self-motivation or had forgotten that I was in a marathon and not sprinting. The scholarship I received was also a strong incentive towards the successful completion of my PhD. The NUS library staff, particularly the CJ Koh law library staff, was very accommodating and often went the extra mile to find resources that were not easily accessible. The graduate studies team was also very helpful and accommodating. I am indeed grateful for the opportunities NUS law afforded me.
