PhD Experience in NUS
During the four years of my PhD at NUS, I had the good fortune of working under the supervision of Professor M Sornarajah. His supervision gave me the right kind of autonomy to think freely yet discipline myself in completing my thesis on time. Regular conferences and seminar at the law school were helpful in cross-pollination of ideas simultaneously maintaining my intellectual self-determination. One of the key elements in my great experience was the excellent support by the administrative staff, Ms Normah, in particular, and fellow PhD candidates.
