Course Description:
NUS Law has a rich tradition of pro bono work among its students. Engaging in pro bono provides students with an opportunity to gain "real world" experience - to see firsthand the importantance of adequate access to legal information, and representation, within our communities. This course sets a baseline for pro bono service at NUS, aimed at helping students develop professional skills, and exposing students to the community aspects of the profession.

During this module students will be required to undertake 20 hours of mandatory pro bono work by partaking in projects that have received approval from the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.

Note: All LL.B., Yale NUS law students and JD students must complete the law compulsory module LC2009 Pro Bono Service.
