Course Description:
This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal issues associated with alternative investments, approached from both practical and theoretical perspectives. Topics covered include, inter alia, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, equity crowdfunding, FinTech regulations, and climate finance.
The course will examine selected issues in partnership law and corporate law that arise in the context of alternative investments. Some topics will include comparative analysis with practices in Singapore, China, the UK, the EU, and the US. This course will be of particular interest to legal professionals working in the alternative investment sector.
