Course Description:
This course will introduce students to the fundamental legal concepts and principles relating to Chinese commercial law. The principal objective of this course is to provide an understanding of the various legal and practical issues involved in doing business in China. Major topics to be covered include basic principles of PRC civil and contract law, business organizations, foreign investments, private equity and venture capital, and dispute resolution in China. The module will also draw on relevant comparative perspectives from major jurisdictions.
