Conference Dinner (Thursday, 23 May 2013)

The conference dinner will be held at the NLSIU Campus. NLU will be setting up shamianas (is a popular Indian ceremonial tent shelter or awning, commonly used for outdoor parties, marriages, feasts etc.)

The cuisine served will be a variety of Indian food which is famously known for its rich and robust flavors. Indian cuisine encompasses a wide variety of regional cuisines native to India. Given the range of diversity in soil type, climate and occupations, these cuisines vary significantly from each other and use locally available spices, herbs, vegetables, and fruits. Indian food is also heavily influenced by religious and cultural choices.

To compliment dinner, the NLSIU students will be showcasing dances and music from India.

And as part of the 10th Anniversary of ASLI, there will be a special celebration organised by the ASLI Secretariat.
