Guidelines for Paper Presentation
(Applicable to presenters whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation) |
The language of presentation is English. Each paper has been allocated a maximum of 15 minutes for presentation. This applies to papers with multiple authors/presenters as well. Question and Answer session will follow at the end of each panel. The presentation venues are equipped with a computer and LCD projector. Speakers who wish to use PowerPoint slides to present their papers should save their slides onto a USB thumb drive for this purpose. |
Papers at the Conference
(Applicable to presenters whose abstracts have been accepted) |
All presenters are required to submit a paper.
As part of ASLI’s effort to go green and reduce paper usage, the conference papers will be made available electronically on a document sharing portal. Access to the online portal will only be given to the panel chairperson and conference participants of the 20th ASLI Conference.
Please note that individual papers will not be printed and distributed. NUS Law will arrange for printing stations if you need to print the presented papers. However, we highly discourage the printing of too many copies, so as not to waste paper.
Kindly note that limited access by conference participants to soft copies or hard copies of individual papers will not constitute publication; and papers will not be published by the conference organisers (ASLI and NUS) nor made available to other persons or libraries. Presenters will retain copyright of their papers and are free to submit them for publication elsewhere. Papers should not be cited without prior permission from the authors.
Submissions may be made separately to the ASLI flagship journal, the Asian Journal of Comparative Law. Please refer to its website at https://law1a.nus.edu.sg/asli/asjcl.html. The decision to publish will be made independently by the journal’s editorial boards, not the conference organisers or ASLI.

Change of Paper Title & Abstract Content
ASLI Secretariat does not encourage the change of paper title and abstract content after your abstract has been accepted. The organisers reserve the right to reject your abstract or paper should the title or content differ substantially from the abstract submitted initially.
