Guidelines for Paper Presentation at the Parallel Sessions
(Applicable to presenters whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation)
The language of presentation is English. Each paper has been allocated a maximum of 15 minutes for presentation. This applies to papers with multiple authors/presenters as well. Question and Answer session will follow at the end of each panel. The presentation venues are equipped with a computer and LCD projector. Speakers who wish to use PowerPoint slides to present their papers should save their slides onto a USB thumb drive for this purpose.

Papers at the Conference
(Applicable to presenters whose abstracts have been accepted)

All presenters are required to submit a paper.

As part of ASLI’s effort to go green and reduce paper usage, the conference papers will be made available electronically on a document sharing portal, Integrated Virtual Learning Environment (IVLE), hosted by the National University of Singapore, where the ASLI Secretariat is located. Access to IVLE will only be given to the panel chairperson and conference participants of the 15th ASLI Conference.

Please note that hard copies of individual papers will not be printed and distributed. Seoul National University School of Law will arrange for printing stations if you need to print the presented papers. However, we highly discourage the printing of too many copies, so as not to waste paper.

Kindly note that neither the soft copies nor hard copies of individual papers will constitute publication; papers will not be published by the conference organisers (ASLI and SNU) or made available to individuals or libraries. Presenters will retain copyright of their papers and are free to submit them for publication elsewhere. All papers should not be cited without prior permission from the authors.

Submissions may be made separately to the ASLI flagship journal, the Asian Journal of Comparative Law. Please refer to their website at https://law1a.nus.edu.sg/asli/asjcl.html. The decision to publish will be made independently by the journal’s editorial boards, not the conference organisers or ASLI.

Change of Paper Title & Abstract Content

ASLI Secretariat does not encourage the change of paper title and abstract content after your abstract has been accepted. The organisers reserve the rights to reject your abstract should the title or content differs excessively from the initial submitted abstract.
